‘Friendly Skies’

First of all, readers, I apologize for the severe lack of posting in the past week. I thought I’d make up for it with a cute little story from Uncle Andy’s Digest of Lewiston and Auburn, Maine:

As an airline reservation agent, I took a call froma man who wanted to book a flight for two but wasn’t happy with the price of $50 per ticket. “I want the $40 fare I saw advertised,” he insisted, saying he would accept a flight at any time.

I managed to find two seats on a 6 am flight.

“I’ll take it,” he said, then worried his wife might not like the early hour.

I warned that there was a fee of $25 per person if he changed the reservation.

“Oh, that’s no problem,” he said dismissively. “What’s 50 bucks?”

  1. Hi Allegra!
Those stories that you post about are quite humorous ( I especially liked the grammatical one with boys and girls arranging the sentence differently). Maybe next year when you are homeschooled you can have lots of fun projects!
