The fastest 90 days known to man

Well, “another Halloween has come and gone,” as Charlie Brown said. I always feel sad when Halloween is over. It’s quite anticlimactic for me, because there’s so much buildup, and then after one spooky night of costumes, movies, and candy, it’s done for another 365 days. Sigh…

My Jack-O-Lanterns. I suppose they're going to start rotting now...

But, now that it’s November, it’s considered officially to be the holiday season, right? That’s just insane. October, November, and December (“the fastest 90 days known to man”) always go by in a snap. But seriously, it’s starting to feel like late fall/winter. We’ve had our frost, and the trees outside are starting to lose their leaves completely, leaving us with brown sticks– lovely. The Sunday papers are laden with toy store ads; ditto with the radio and television. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… ♪♫ Well, if not now, it will soon!
